What is emotional pain?
Emotional pain is the opposite of feeling happy and content. We experience emotional pain when people or events work against us. The more we obsess about the people or situations we cannot control, the more negative emotions build-up like anger, disappointment, and frustration. This can leave us feeling hurt, helpless, and debilitated. If not addressed we can get caught in a downward spiral of increasing fear, anxiety, and depression. At the same time our bodies feel awful, become more prone to illness and we end up unable to cope.
Whatever the cause, it is important to develop a strategy to manage this inner turmoil. Hypnotherapy offers a holistic solution for both mind and body restoring each to good order.
What the session will be like
I’ll take a full case history to fully understand the causes of your emotional pain. Together we will develop the best strategy to help you let go of things and reframe negative thoughts and perceptions. During therapy, I’ll help you draw on your inner strength to open your mind to new ways of looking at things, to take on helpful thoughts and suggestions that will enable you to rise-up a positive spiral to health and happiness again.
Like with so many things, hypnotherapy works best when complemented by other tools that work on the body and mind together. I’ll provide you with a guide to coping with emotional pain. I’ll also train you in some easy and highly effective self-hypnosis techniques. With regular practice, you will be able to apply these whenever you need them to reinforce all the positive work you will be doing in your sessions.
